Philip Newell for a weekend of Celtic spirituality and personal transformation as we explore the themes of caring for creation and peace together, listen for the heartbeat of God’s presence within ourselves, in the body of the earth and in the soul of humanity.

J. Philip Newell is a poet, a scholar and a teacher. Formerly Warden of Iona Abbey in the Western Isles of Scotland, he is currently Writer Theologian for Scottish Cathedral of the Isles. He is internationally acclaimed for his work in the field of Celtic spirituality, including his best known titles Listening for the Heartbeat of God and his poetic book of prayer, Sounds of the Eternal. He is a Church of Scotland minister with a passion for ecumenical and interfaith dialogue and he has played a leading role on both sides of the Atlantic in re-birthing of a creation spirituality for today.
The conference will feature Celtic music by Julee Glaub with Mark Weems and ends Saturday night with an optional "Celtic Feast Dinner" - a final opportunity to hear from Philip Newell and to connect with each other as we reflect on our experiences from the weekend.
